What does it cost you to read this
or for me to put words in writing?
Theres a war going on my little sis
may you understand why I'm fighting.

People complain about whats on TV
the news, soaps, and cartoons.
Banning books that make them see
the universe is bigger then just you and me.

May you one day look me in the eye
and be able to explain to me
the reason why
they tie our hands but say we can fly.

Its understanding I'm seeking.
Maybe its just me
who find writing and speaking
should be both equally free.
