JUST Friends?

There’s an old saying
That a guy and a girl
Can never be just friends
I never believed it
Until he came down from heaven
We started out as best friends
Everything was perfect
But something didn’t go right
We crossed the line
That famous line between love and friendship
The one we both said could never be crossed
We would say to each other we were like siblings
But I think that was just a cover up for our feelings
Sometimes your heart gets the best of you
It forces you to tell the truth
It may not be the right time
But the heart has it’s own mind
You can lie to anyone
But you can’t lie to yourself
You can try to deny your love
But that’s never good for your health
How can you not fall in love with your soul mate?
The one who knows you best
How can you just walk away?
From your best friend
So can it be true
That a guy and a girl
Can be just friends
I don’t believe it
Maybe because I fell in love with him!
