Watching As You Fade

As i watched i knew the truth,
What i had been denying all along.
I sat in silence as i watched you,
But nothing ever felt more wrong.

You didnt have to tell me,
I could see it in your eyes,
It was painfully obvious,
The look on your face told no lies.

Id like to say it doesnt matter,
I try to pretend i dont care.
But its hard to make this ok,
When your old feelings are still there.

Maybe this shouldnt bother me,
And maybe id rather not know.
But when i realized the truth,
Ive never felt more low.

Now i know your not over the past,
And maybe you'll never be in this game.
Maybe we can still make this last,
But things wont ever be the same.
