The alley cat

by J.C.   Mar 6, 2006

I saw a cat one day. I was very attractive with its unique colors and stripes.
It had a way about itself that drew me near. I guess in ways we just alike.

It had beautiful white and gray stripes and a foreign look that ranged from her legs to her ears.
I guess that's all the things she's been through in her years.

One day it saw me watching and decided to come by.
It walked by letting her fur softly touch my leg and purred as if to say hi.

I took it home
And called it Novaton.

It gave me a lot of attention,
And made me feel in my life, she was the only things miss'n.

I'd talk to her about my personal life and my desires.
She made me feel in my life my problems weren't only mine as she purred. But ours.

We were happy until she left my home.
I guess I forgot that stray cats like to be free and on their own.
