Useless salt

by Mr O   Mar 7, 2006

She wispers words I cannot hear
dries my eyes that do not tear
Over mined for useless salt.

She empties my mind of all good thought
Teaches things best left untaught
Somehow this is all my fault

She stares at me from my coffee mug
In a sip she kisses without a hug
Rules change but not the game

She touches without sensation
Leaves my soul with no salvation
I am left only with the blame

She is there to tuck me in at night
Pulls the covers over my head tight
My heart a victim of her theft

She gently shakes me from sleep
My memories in dreams to keep
I still refuse to believe shes left
