Not A Tear For Me

Ashes to ashes,
Dust to dust.
Are we in love?
Or is it just lust?

Till the day that I die,
I'll love you so.
With all my heart,
You may know.

The promises we made,
And promised to keep.
I broke one today,
It hurts so deep.

I always told you,
You're the only one for me.
Till I was all messed up,
And everything I saw was blurry to see.

All thoughts ran back and forth,
In my small little mind.
But the boy I saw,
Was nothing, but kind.

He said I was beautiful,
He told me he cared.
For the feelings and thoughts,
We could both share.

He made me believe,
I'd be happy with him.
Till the room was so bright,
Then turned so very dim.

My heart was pounding,
My head all messed.
His hands were moving slowly,
All over my chest.

He told me not to worry,
No one would find out.
But in my mind,
Was nothing, but doubt.

I jumped up and ran,
My way to the door.
His words so harsh,
"You little w-h-o-r-e."

I let him be with me,
That one lonely night.
When all I felt,
Was high as a kite.

I know that's no excuse,
And what I did was wrong.
I decided a poem would be best,
No long or song.

So I lay in my bed,
Holding a knife.
Thinking this is the night,
That I'll take my own life."

So for the one I love,
I'll have you know.
I'll love you no matter what,
But my time has come to go.

Don't be upset,
Don't cry for me.
Move on and be happy,
And I'll have you see.

Your life will be good,
Without me.
So go find a great girl,
Be happy, be free!!
