The Power Of A Name

With different internet user names,
forever are you bound,
to certain literary topics,
a certain style and a certain sound.

You can write yourself into a box,
if you don't come out swinging first,
by embracing different subjects,
different styles, a different verse.

Make the reader anticipate what's coming next,
not know right away by the name,
make them get lost by the words you spit,
and how you say it, not your poetic fame.

Embrace the different styles,
barriers were made to be broken down,
but take each new step slowly,
so you don't plummet back to the ground.

So with this poem I set a challenge,
break out of the box and try something new,
no matter how good or bad it sounds,
you'll get a refreshing new point of view.
