You couldn't admit it

by T Dubo   Mar 7, 2006

I knew at first look
That there would be a book
About our times together
That we could tell as mother and father

We had a bond
That never needed a wand
We had our own heart
And you would never find us apart

Every day and hour
Was like we were on top of a tall tower
Clinging to each other
No matter what the weather

We knew in our hearts
Not caring about the charts
No matter what they said
Or how they plead

You were supposed to stay
With me every day
But on that one night
We had our last fight

You did something wrong
But you just turned up the song
You should've just admitted it
Because I wouldn't have gone into a fit

I would've said it was the past
And hope it was the last
But you didn't say a word
So I left like a bird

Most of me is over you now
But part of me just doesn't know how
We had been perfect ever since that first minute
But that last was because you didn't admit it
