Why did you leave

You've left the earth how can this be
when you still had so much to see
all your dreams and goals lay unfulfilled
leaving all of our hearts chilled

why did you have to leave us behind
what plan for you does God have in mind
i can't see the reason but then again my tears have blinded me
without you i don't think i can be

you were an angel while on earth now your my angel in the sky
I'll wave to you as the clouds pass by
i long for just five more minutes with you
i know you'd want that to

as you look down, you wouldn't want to see us crying
if you were here you wouldn't leave until we were all smiling
never will anything be the same
without you this place is just lame

you were the life that would lift you up when you were down
on his face you'd never see a frown
you helped everyone when times were rough
now with you not being here things couldn't be more tough

ill never forget you, you'll always be with me
don't forget me and the way we used to be
one day we'll see each other again
but i have to accept this and say goodbye until then
