If Only There Was A Way

I know what's going to happen.
I know it all.
If only there was a way,
For me not to fall.

If only there was a way
For this future to disappear.
But that won't happen,
And I can't run away in fear.

The future will become present,
All because of my stupid past.
If only I hadn't done what I did that day,
But my heart was beating too fast.

I look back,
And see a silly girl.
Speaking through her heart,
To a guy who didn't care.

The girl didn't think.
She only saw.
What she saw thrilled her,
But she didn't see the flaw.

The flaw that is killing her.
She is near her end.
Her broken heart keeps breaking,
And is too difficult to mend.

It would be easy for him.
To fix this broken heart.
All he has to do is smile,
And this girl isn't smart.

She will fall again.
Only deeper this time.
She will end up forgiving him,
And again, he will be mine.

I don't have the power
To fight off his charm.
And if you could do just one thing
To protect me from his harm.

Will you pray for me?

Even if you don't believe,
Just keep me from this knife.

Pray for him to stay away,
Or to not hurt me this time.
