While You Were Gone

I've thought of things to say
In so many different ways

So I'll just start by saying
I've been missing you through the days.

I've been around different guys
And you're the only one

Who can smile and say the things
You do that make me shine like
The sun.

Now I'm not saying I haven't hurt you

The whole time you were gone,

But I'm told you'll be locked away
For another month,

So I'll pray and hold on.

I'm not going to make excuses,
Because what I did was wrong

It's just that we were apart for so Very long.

I didn't know where you were
And I was starting to get lonely,

But for him I didn't care because
No affection he truly showed me.

Do you remember last year
When you wait two months for me?

You may have done something,
But I don't care baby.

I will wait for you
To come back

But when I found out how long You'd be gone for, I was so sad.

I can't see you,
Talk to you,
Or hear your sweet voice,

And if I could hurt you,
I wouldn't; I have no choice.

I love you.

It's more powerful,
Than ANYthing I've ever felt,

So I'll just sit here,
Wait for you, and cry...
