The Music Box Girl

by jaki   Mar 7, 2006

The music starts to play, she hears the beat
She twirls, spins, reciting a practiced piece
Dust falls, its been too long, she feels the heat
The beat pumps, tempo failing to decrease

She falls again, the memories come back
Their voices echoing, singing a song
Shes given up; she lets her world turn black
They thought she was perfect, that she was strong

Shes lying on the floor, broken inside
In the end, shes just the music box girl
Its happened, her spirits finally died
Thoughts cross her mind; her whole world starts to whirl

But music is pumping, she gets back up
This time she promises, she wont give up.
