Take Me Away

by Anthony   Mar 7, 2006

Take me away from this place,
And I'll share with you my soul.
Seclusion from the world,
As we fight to become whole.

We'll take the lovers leap of faith,
And find that we both passed.
The look in your eyes tells me,
No questions asked.

You helped me forget my pain,
And I taught you how to love.
We were perfect through and through,
Whether push should come to shove.

Running to our futures,
We will not look back or fear,
You are safe inside my arms,
You will never shed a tear.

Hard times and good times,
You help me and I help you.
As long as we're together,
I'm sure we'll make it though.

There are those who try to stop us,
And those who stop them in their tracks.
But now there's something wrong,
We have fallen through the cracks.

You've left me all alone.
And still you think that you are right.
You threw away our love because
I am black and you are white.

Aw, man-cold. Personally I never saw the problem with interracial dating, but maybe that's just me. This is truly amazing. I mean, like WHOA amazing. The ending is fantastic. I didn't see it coming. Too incredible!
