Looking Back

Yesterday's a memory,
Tomorrow's just a hope,
Today is our reality
As through life's trial we cope.

The past is gone forever,
The future's a dream away,
Today I'll do what should be done
That I have long ignored.

Looking ahead to tomorrow,
Tucking the past fast away,
Forgetting all heartache & sorrow,
Living this one bright today.

Yes, life was harder yesterday
By looking back, I waste today
& add to my own sorrow.
While sifting through my deep regrets,
I'll also miss tomorrow.
