Ex best friends

Whenever I am scared,
and do not know what to do,
not once did you tell me that u cared,
you act like i am not even there.

when tears fall down my face,
and you can see the hurt in my eyes,
why do u just assume that i am okay,
just because i always have a smile?

i thought you would understand,
i thought u were my best friend,
but i guess i was wrong,
because u never did care.

i guess you were truly not my best friend,
because they can always tell when somethings wrong,
and it would not take them long,
because they could feel the pain too.

i just wish that you would actually care,
just enough so you would be there.
sorry if i am asking to much,
but i thought thats what friends are for.
