Why is it that the one you love
Is the one who is closest to you?

They have no self esteem,
They need your hope.
Just another worthless dream,
One that hangs their head and mopes.
For the love of a man,
Something to look forward too.
Labeling is for cans,
And bar codes are for who?
Want to see themselves,
For who they are.
Likes the keebler elves,
And those little clown cars.
Just afraid to show it,
Wondering what they will think.
Been punched, kicked and hit,
Getting picked on just straight out stinks!
They go to you for help,
And maybe a little love.
You argue and yelp,
Exactly what your suggestive of.

And YOU wonder why,
As your friend sits there and cries.
That they were the one who trusted,
