If ever

by J.C.   Mar 8, 2006

If ever my nose was open,
If ever my heart has woken,
its now,
now,
holding you,
in my arms.

If ever I am happy,
If ever my mind ceased battling,
it's now,
now,
Feeling your embrace,
your lips pressed against my face,
something that time can never erase,
or, in my thoughts, replace.
Holding you,
and consoling you,
in my arms.

If ever I wanted something to last,
If ever I wanted a moment never to pass,
it's now,
now,
being spiritually twined,
emotionally unified,
and physically cosigned,
Leaving a lock on our minds,
Thinking constantly of one another,
never letting our thoughts of each other go asunder,
holding you,
and consoling you,
in my arms.

If ever I wanted someone for more then just a touch,
To open their mind,
to be their when they open their eyes.
If ever my thoughts were neutral,
our feelings base and mutual,
it's holding you, and consoling you,
in my arms.

If ever there was someone I wanted to share my point of view,
If ever there was somebody I don't think to use,
Or have their feelings towards me abused,
it's you.

So if I am Adam, be my Eve.
If I am a caterpillar, be my leaves.
If I am a dreamer, hold my dreams.
Because in the book of my life,
the chapters involving you,
Are not just one or two.
You're in every chapter after 18,
even 83,
holding you, and consoling you,
in my arms.
