There was a road I was made to travel
the "road of life" it was called.
I never knew what lay ahead
each adventure left me appalled.
When the way was smooth
I knew I couldn't relax for long.
For soon the journey would be rocky
And i would lose the words to my song.
As I travel along this road,
one can see puddles of tears,
left by others that journey through.
There are also marks of cheers.
Through each rock I step over
and each tree I pass by.
I know that someday
my reward will be waiting in the sky.
The others I meet on this trail
have left me with something to keep me traveling on.
I will never forget their kindness
even though some are gone.
The way is long and narrow
but the end is ever near.
For the road of life i travel
will not end in fear.
