The Treasure

by Heather   Mar 8, 2006

A long time ago
in a land far away.
There lived a wise prince
that had come there to stay.
But there was a time
that his rich, young man
Had more things
then the numbers of the sand.
He was rich and well know
he had it all.
Until one day
everything began to fall.
His foolish and haughty spirit
brought great shame.
He lost everything
including his "name".
He soon began to realize
that there's more to life than things.
Great wisdom, kindness, and
the love that it brings.
The people he had neglected
were really his precious treasure
Now he said "I have wealth
beyond all measure."
The lesson we can learn:
there's a treasure to be found
It doesn't always have
to be under the ground.
Have you lost sight
of the riches you hold?
Is there something,
someone needs to be told?
Because a certain wise prince
found where his true treasure lay.
A long time ago,
in a land far away.
