Forever Never Ends

Roses are red,
And Rose is in my head.
I just can't seem
To set myself free.
Though you sit right next to me in my car,
Still it feels we're so far apart,
And believe it or not,
I still have an aching inside of my heart.
You tell me to get over it,
And to move on.
Well darlin',
The chances of that are long gone.
Every minute you're not with me,
I practice my speeches and what to say,
But when we finely get together,
The words, well, they just slip away.
I can't help but feel this way about you,
There's just nothing about it I can do.
Though it's just not the same,
I'm glad we're still get together from time to time,
Though I'm still going to miss the days,
When I was yours and you were mine.
Deep down it still hurts,
Because me heart is bruised,
And never in my life,
Have I ever been this confused.
I desperately miss the times,
When we would just sit and hold hands,
When I was certain,
You were my girl and I was your man.
I'll always be willing,
To try and make our love work out,
Together we can,
That I'm sure of without a doubt.
I'd hate to see you turn your back,
On the greatest love there can be,
I know it's the greatest,
Because it's between you and me.
Still I'll always be here for you,
And I know we should try again,
Because I meant it when I said, "I'm Forever Yours",
And Baby, forever never ends.

    You're absolutely right. Though forever is such a long time, but when you feel so deeply about someone you never just stop caring about the person and a part of you probably never stops hoping that one day maybe you'll be able to return to the way things used to be with them - and you captured that all very well. It's quite a vulnerable feeling, huh? I thought this line was really cute:

    I'd hate to see you turn your back,

    I know it's the greatest,
    Because it's between you and me.

    There is this quote, I don't know by whom but here it goes:

    "Relationships Last Long Because
    Two People Make A Choice:
    To Keep It,
    Fight For It,
    And Work For It"

    Its sad when we love someone and they don't love us back. But sometimes is for the better, It was just destiny.

    I like your poem. I like the rhymes in the first sentences. and overall I like the ending for it shows that you are deeply in love. A love that expects nothing in return even if you still want her to be with you.
