Look Closer

As the sadness boils up inside,
I hide the tears that try to stream by,
I cover up the marks laid upon my arms,
The bruises left by bodily harm,

When you're lonely you can only grieve,
About having no one else but me,
As you burst out each night trying to escape,
Before anyone hears it's been too late,

You're locked in a room lost the key,
Your eyes are red and you can't see,
Lost all hope all your dreams,
Nothing can be heard but your lovers scream,

Blocking it out can't be done,
So distancing yourself becomes more fun,
Your grow so far but don't care,
At this moment you're dying from lack of air,

Does anybody notice even take a glance,
Try to mend a broken romance,
Try to help someone crying in a crowd,
No, know one cares there all too proud,

When you look again look closer then before,
Look for something deeper something more,
Just get this person what they need,
Don't wait it maybe the last time they bleed.
