Elegy to my Grandma

by Serena   Mar 9, 2006

You always helped me when my day was rough,
you always sat and listened to all my stupid stuff.

You helped me in anyway that you could,
you always did what you said you would.

You could say something to make me smile,
for me i know you\'d walk a mile.

To me you were always kind,
and you gave me a good peace of mind.

Now that your gone,
i don\'t know how to move on.

I\'ll remember all the things we did together,
and i\'ll keep them close to my heart forever.

Not a day will go by,
that for you i will not cry.

I know you spirit\'s in a better place,
but your body is in that wooden case.

After time i will no longer mourn,
still my heart will be torn.

You were soo happy and full of life,
you never seemed to have any strife.

You cared about others rather than yourself,
i\'ll keep our pictures by my bed on the shelf.

You gave me whatever i would need,
you\'d gladly give up your seat.

I guess God needed you more,
no matter how much our hearts are sore.

You will never be forgot,
you will always be in our thoughts.

So now is the time to sigh,
and say my final good-bye.

So thanks for all the times we shared,
and all the times you cared.

Thanks for all the memories made,
and all the times you paid.

I know we\'ll never truly part,
for this is just your new start.

So i really cant say good-bye,
because that would be a lie.

I know you\'ll always be with me,
even though you i will not beable to truly see.
