In a crowded room she sits alone
Watching everyone laugh and joke
Couples hugging like there's no tomorrow
They're having the time of their lives
While she sulks in her own sorrow
But no one cares.
Her friends look at her
Sitting all alone
In the far corner of the room
Their eyes full of curiosity
Yet no one says a word.
She takes a look around
Glances at everyone in the room
And then she sees him
Standing there on the other side of the room
With her.
She stares at him for a moment
Wondering if he even notices she's there
He feels her stare and looks around the room
Glances at everyone in the room
And then he sees her.
He starts to walk towards her
Looking at nothing else but her eyes
And then it happened.
He quickly turns around
Noticing his name being called
He sees who it is
He looks back at her
But doesn't move.
As a tear trickles down her cheek
She stands up
And walks out the door
It's raining.
She walks home
In the cold rainy night
She looks back at the house
And cries.
