My Heart Takes Flight

by Christopher Liau   Mar 9, 2006

Waiting, waiting, hurry please,
Waiting is what's killing me,
Sit down, be calm, silent, still,
Take off soon, I know I will.

At last! The movement felt,
Quickly fasten my seat belt,
Engines roar, burst of noise,
So excited, but keep my poise.

Drifting, racing, I fly to you,
Faster, faster, will see you soon,
Make it there, promise kept,
Excited still, I haven't slept.

Landing now, the engines stall,
Floating, the plane, it falls.
Hit the ground, the tires squeal,
Soon to show you how I feel.

Dreaming of this day, I've been,
Too long before your face, I've seen.
Look around, there is no sign,
I better not be dreaming... this time.

There you are, a sight to see,
I embrace you tight, you kiss me.
So long waiting for this day,
For if I'm dreaming, I want to stay.
