Still A Child

by The Wingless   Mar 9, 2006

My small chest pounds
While I look out the window
Winter sadly echoes
Across the frozen land

Across a white canvas
I see the marks of fate
So let's see a dream
That tells the tale of our future.

Like a gentle breeze
Like a winding river
I'm still not an adult
Just a child
And I won't be lost

Right now is when tomorrow starts
Only a path for two
A shining dream placed in their hearts
Embrace it, take the chance.

Like a courage
Like a full moon
Someday I'll be older
But now I'm just a child
But I long to see pasts, and futures
Yet, I still don't know the present

Times can be rough
Like an unguided traveler
One day I'll understand
That I'm still just a child
I don't know what I want
Nor do I know what I'll get

Let's make a promise
Let's weave a dream
Always treasure our feelings
Inside a love of constant brightness
I can't be lost

I don't know life
But someday
I'll be older
And I'll understand

For now, I'm just a child.
