People stood in shock At the blood stained floor From an innocent little girl Who couldn't take the bullies anymore Night after night She cried herself to sleep Her classmates cruel words Always made her weep She tried to ignore them, And pretend she didn't hear But it never worked She heard them loud and clear At lunch she sat alone She had no one in whom to confide During class students talked About how they wished she would die Teachers were just as bad, They never took her word Any time she said something Her complaint went unheard Kids always pushed her down, Made her drop her books Stole things from her locker And shot her nasty looks One beautiful spring day She could no longer stand the tears She was never going to belong As long as she was still here Dear whoever cares I'm sorry for whatever I did wrong I'm sorry I'm not good enough I'm sorry I couldn't be strong She took out a gun And blew out her brains Blood spilled everywhere... Gently as the rain
