All my life I believed
That fairy tales were real
Along with every word said
And the way I feel

I thought that it was all simple
That you'd just meet the perfect guy
And both fall in love with each other
But there's more that meets the eye

After I met you
All my beliefs were proved wrong
My heart had been pierced
And I wasn't as strong

My skin went pale
My laughter became tears
I came to get isolated
And had many new fears

My heart had been smashed
My mind went blank
My life was shattered
And my world, sank

Those authors try to trick us
But fairy tales are all fake
The truth about it all is
It's all about heartbreak

They twist the truth
Screw with little kids heads
Make them think its all happy endings
As they all fall asleep in their beds

What lies have I believed
The truth that I could not see
Not every guy I fall in love with
Is someone meant to be

I thought you were my
Shining knight in armour
The friendship that we created
Makes this even harder

The days we used to laugh
The times we used to smile
Those days are gone
Won't come back for a while

This fairy tale didn't end happily
It was about to end in suicide
My life has many twists and turns
It's like a roller coaster ride

Now it's all over
I've given you my heart
And now we aren't even friends
We've been torn apart

I, the girl, sitting here
As the world starts to fade
And I hold my arm still
As my skin lies under a blade

And you, the boy, acting as if
You don't give a s h i t
About the girl you hurt
While it's tearing you apart every bit

What a great way
For a fairy tale to end
