Depression

by Danielle   Mar 10, 2006

Running in circles
Terror chasing all around
Her heart pounding furiously in her chest.
Breath coming in gasps,
Confusion running through her head,
As thoughts of all feelings run through her mind.
She is running from herself,
The danger she put herself in,
Not the danger of another.
Tears streak down her face,
In rivers of sadness and heartbreak.
Her thoughts are not good,
They deprive her of a wonderful life.
The images running through her mind chase her,
The chase her into the depths of the evil darkness.
She hasn't seen light in forever
The darkness has clouded her eyes in thick black clouds
Not letting light poke through.
Her thoughts and dreams are not possible now,
She has to break through this darkness of depression,
Her terror needs to diminish,
And needs to quit running in circles.
The fear is gripping at her heart still,
And all she can do is breath.
Breath for today,
Breath for tomorrow,
And breath for the unknown.
