Goodbye

My days are long and painful,
when your no longer near.
Confidence is filled with questions,
strength replaced with fear.

The happiness that used to start my day,
is nowhere to be found.
As though all my dreams and hopes,
were buried underground.

I hear your voice flowing in the wind,
like your fingers through my hair.
Oh how sometimes I just close my eyes,
and wish that you were there.

Your gone now and it's hard to believe,
all the hours we spent alone.
If you had just one more chance to be here,
I would never let you go.

So with nothing left but memories,
and a headstone to mark where you lay deep.
Goodbye my best friend forever,
have peace in your endless sleep.
