There once was a penguin named Ed Fish is what he loved to be fed He loved to laugh, he loved to play So with his friends, he'd swim all day He'd swim from morning 'til afternoon He'd swim in the light of the stars and moon He'd swim in water deep and blue He'd swim where it was shallow too He thought he could swim anywhere But then he though, "What about air?" He looked up and he saw birds fly High up in the endless sky He wished that he could fly there too Up into the sky so blue He closed his eyes and dreamt out loud Of drifting through those fluffy clouds He dreamt of flying to the moon He dreamt of flying all afternoon But in his dream he began to fall He wasn't flying, not at all He hit the ground and then awoke He thought it was his wings he broke But when he saw he was okay He jumped in the water and swam all day He's glad he's home, he likes it there He feels much safer than in the air Now Ed knows what it's like to fly And he'd rather swim in water, than swim in the sky
