Fear

by Mona   Mar 11, 2006

I seek perfection
I seek recognition
But I find it hard to choose a direction
Since Fear is my only intuition

Now I'm smoking a cigarette
Got cold sweat on my forehead
As if I just played roulette
And my face so pale I could be dead

Once again the enemy came back
To strike and take what's mine
It was just another panic attack
I'll be fine

Cause I know that when I'm dead and rotten
And resting safe in my grave
I'll finally be Forgiven and Forgotten
And no longer Fear's slave

I love it. I feel like I know what the person in the poem is going through and a sense of relief knowing they're over it. Amazing.
