Just Friends

You know when you break up with someone.
You can't move on to the next.
Even though you really want to,
Especially when you find out you guys broke up because of his ex.

Well, I have experienced this too much in my life.
I don't want to do it again.
I moved on everytime.
And I really want to be just his friend.

I can't be his friend though,
He knows too much about me.
All my darkest secrets.
He might tell all his friends about me.

He tells me he loves me before we hang up the phone.
I called him from the movies and he was home.
We talked while I was screaming in his ear.
He told me babe stop screaming or I won't be able to hear.

I told him that I would call him when I got home.
He replied to that with alright I love you.
Even though I go with his best friend,
I replied with I love you too.

You can't be best friends with your ex.
Cause you still have feeling for each other.
But we got a lasting love going on,
We want to be with each other.

He told me alot that he loves me,
He just can't be with me.
And it's all because of me,
Because his best friend now loves me.

He doesn't want to hurt his friend.
By secretly going out with me.
And I totally understand that,
Cause me and his friend will always be.

He's still my closest boy friend.
And the one I tell everything.
I rather be his friend,
Than be his everything.
