The Murder's Thrill

by Bullet For My Valentine   Mar 12, 2006

Moon set high in shallow night
Silver shine of gleaming light
Raining in the hollows deep
Crying eyes that never sleep

Speckled sheet of endless stars
Trees in forest hold like bars
In the prison eyes that weep
Crying eyes that never sleep

Footsteps on the trail behind
Moonbeams pierce the forest shrine
One look back her body swayed
When eyes picked out the gleam of blade

Flashing runners through the light
Forest cold with chill of fright
A sudden calm and peaceful hush
As weapon reaches victim’s rush

Silent death a murder’s thrill
Ends a life with quiet still
A figure lonely in the wood
With blade in hand wears cloak and hood

Her body lay in silent dark
Icy fingers leave no mark
Diamond stars in night that weep
Crying eyes forever sleep
