My Angel

by Joy   Mar 12, 2006

It's so odd to me,
How he was always there,
I never really looked deep,
But now I truly care.

He was always there for me,
Just as friends should,
But now I feel so much more,
Just as any girl would.

Over the year so much as changed,
His clothes, his height, his hair,
He's got the looks and the smile,
But he doesn't even know I care.

All he sees are his flaws,
None of which are real,
I so wish that I could tell him,
How I really feel.

I've found confidence and strength in myself,
And because he's given me those things,
I believe he's my angel,
Who's given me his wings.

Second stansa, line 2 should be "just as friends should be" it kinda doesn't sound right or make sense the other way, i know you we're trying to get the rhyme out of it but you should never sacrifice quality for rhyming. And there is a typo in stansa three line one, "as" should be "has" besides that the poem is good, And i love the last two lines, great way to tie it off, keep up the good work!

    I enjoy haw you made the poem a metaphor, rather than stating them within the poem.{5/5}
