Well 'She' thinks she's cool enough to talk in 3rd person

by [She.Falls.Asleep]   Mar 12, 2006

She likes to linger in the background,
When it's her choice,
But when there's people around her,
She has a significant voice.

She used to like to read alone,
But now its just no longer 'cool',
Things seem to be so different,
Since when she started school.

She loves to dye her hair,
Each pretty little shade,
Makes her look so confident,
When her voice starts to fade.

She likes to doodle on her skin,
Paper isn't as much fun,
But with all her words on show,
She's still protective of each one.

She's been drawing broken hearts,
And she never stops to think,
The reason why they're everywhere,
In luminous glowing ink.

She can hear all the whispers,
And the insults every day,
But she never stops the chants,
She lets them have their say.

She can be so shy,
And she can feel out of place,
But for every different scenario,
She has a different face.

She's living for her family,
She's breathing for her dreams,
She's crying for all the hatred,
And never getting picked for teams.

She's a teenage ballerina,
She tip toes with each breath,
Because if she gets attention,
They'll see when there's nothing left.
