Life in High School

by hungry4choc   Mar 13, 2006

Your eyes are open at 6am
You're already up and out of bed
There's no time to relax
or rest your head

It's not long till you're there
waiting, waiting at the bus stop
It's send your head spinning
spinning like a top

You sit on the bus staring out the window
sitting, and staring in silence like a mouse
Wondering as you stare,
when you'll next see your house

Finally there just so long
so long, to even get to school
Finally her already
but things are not yet cool

Finishing homework, that you've neglected to do
Study for the test that same afternoon
Still a long, long time
Till we'll see the moon

Just more work, work, WORK
everyone relieved to reach break
There's not enough time free from work
Not enough to eat and apple or some cake

Then again its the intense work,
this thing they call learning
everyone wishing to leave
yearning, yearning

It's finally lunch and you think you're relieved
But it's at lunch when things unfold
The secret you've kept, the secret you've hidden ...
The secret someone's told

Back to class you're weeping,
weeping, weeping when everything is sad
what a day you think
what a day you've had

But the day's not yet finished
even waiting at the bus stop
Soon off the bus you're walking home
knocking on your door "clop, clop"

You're inside the house
free, free from school work
Soon your mum's screaming
"Do your homework!!"

It's just life you think to yourself
That's what you try to keep cool
It's just life, life
Life in High School.
