BONE OF BONE, FLESH OF FLESH

by David Owoeye   Mar 13, 2006

Pressed with the fear of loneliness
With no one to make a day worthy
I encountered an adorable charming being
One so beautiful to behold
A paragon of admirable beauty
So interesting to attend unto
So homely to express myself to
So welcoming to convey my feelings to
So concerned to share my sorrows with
And lively to celebrate joy with
So darling to live in love with
For with joy I sought for you
With a price no one could afford paying
I found you in my path
As a cloud of glorious ecstasy unfolds
Ushering you to my presence as
The bone of my bone
And the flesh of my flesh.
