When you don't answer the phone
or call me back
it makes me think
what the heck

what are you doing
why aren't you with me
it makes me wonder
what do i not see

i sit alone
waiting by the phone
i call you just to hear your voice
on the answering machine

i start to wonder
if you still think of me
if you really wanna be my boyfriend
or if i was just dreaming

then you call
and apologize for being so busy
and you tell me you miss me
and you really want to kiss me

and you remind me
that you care
and you will always
be there

so this one thing i must say
i hope it to never go away
