Why weren't you there?
i needed you to be there
you weren't there when i skinned my knee
or picked me up when i fell crying
life goes by like a flash of light
yet you weren't there to be my knight
you were my daddy
still you weren't there
i look back know
and see all the things that you missed
well look daddy
look at the little girl you dissed
