Dream of Mine

Going out drinking, staying out all night
Smoking and driving, I wanna see the light.

Driving down the road the music's so loud
Why do I see so many clouds?

It starts to pour it starts to rain
I don't know what it is but I can't feel the pain.

Friends yelling, "Stay on the road"
We laugh and joke because we all like being in this mode.

We hit a tree, I start to bleed
Can you tell me why I committed this deed?

The ambulance appears the lights are so bright
They say this girl may no live tonight.

I hear them talking they seem so far away
But I wont give in there is no way

I hear my friends screaming as they see me lying there
I guess something like this needs to happen to know they care

I get to the hospital feeling no pain at all
The doctor touching me looks ever so tall

I'm so scared now; I think it's for real
The doctor says this girl may not make it, I don't know what she can feel

My friends my family my life my time it's all running through my head
I really don't want to wake up I think id rather lay dead

But then I feel my moms head resting on my arm
I'm alive! O-my gosh I'm alive She's my wonderful charm.

I told them I would make it, I told them I'd be fine
Until I realize I'm not really awake, this is just a dream of mine
