I wonder if you'll remember....

by Rachel   Jan 23, 2004

I wonder if you’ll remember me,
In years to come,
I wonder if you’ll remember,
The things you have done.

When you’re old and I am gone,
Do you think you’ll be alone?
Will you remember all you’ve done?
The way you’ve destroyed my home?

Just a child really, not yet eighteen,
But already I feel I’ve lived more than most have seen,
You were with me everyday, always by my side,
I had to try running, keep trying to hide.

But now, we aren’t together,
As now I am away,
Safe from you, and protected,
But I know I’ll see you again some day.

I wonder if you’ll think of me,
When you are alone one day,
I wonder if you’ll be sorry,
I wonder if that’ll be something you’ll ever say.

I'm assuming this was a previous relationship. But; I'm not sure. I wish you the best of luck.

Very good poem. The words are very meaningful in everyway. 5/5! :o)
