You should have seen those tears
the were surronded by fear
her young boy was now a man

It seems like only yesterday
she held his first birthday
she walked him to school
bought him the latest clothes

she still recalls his first car
the one he used to jump the curb

but lokk at him with is son
she knew she'd done right
cause after the baby was born he held his momma tight
