Unseen

Waiting and pretending for so long
Acting around as if nothing was wrong
When deep within it’s everything we hide
If you even knew the damage inside
I really don’t want to play pretend anymore
Because seriously it’s making my heart sore
But to you it’s just another cheap metaphor
Telling me, “you and me is a must”
Collecting all your lies in dust
Deep in your eyes I prey your not playing me fooled
Once, I’ve been deceived before by those looks
Believing that you could be my lover
Somehow I still lay undercover
So why don’t you stop the tension
For I don’t deal well with deception
Make all you say real
So one day I’ll know I’m not in fear
Take my hand and bliss me in the air tonight
Make tears shed from these eyes among the beautiful sights
Bring me to life, evoke within my flame
No longer have to live this life in shame
So one day I can tell you, “You and me are a must”
