Now don't look at me and go
Oh you poor thing
Cause I don't need sympathy or pity
From anyone right now
I'll do what I want to
This time you can't stop me
After all, this is my life
And I'm going to shape it
The way I want to
So don't come here and
Bother with all your dumb sorrys
Cause they aren't true anyway
It's just so plain to see
Backstabbers, that's what all of you are
But maybe one day you'll realize
Life ain't so worth without a friend by your side
You just spread lies and rumors
Sometimes I wonder why you never
Get tired of your old and tiring job
If you think you can put me off
Well then, think again
I'm just trying to get through today
And the stuff you say don't get me down
I know I speak my mind
Maybe what I say is just too much
But hey, I'm living my life
And telling the truth
Is a part of it all
I don't care for popularity like you do
I don't care for wearing skimpy clothes
I've got decency, if only you could see
That your legs got flab, and it's just so plain to see
Well, I wonder now
What you would say
If you read this poem
Maybe you'll turn
Purple, and then red
Maybe you'll storm into my house
And swear al the words that would
Make a kid cringe,
And a teacher yell
(Well you know the F-bombs
And all the other words
That I would never say)
Ah well,
I guess I'll just keep this poem for now
But just don't mess with me
Cause I'm trying to get through today
And trying to live my life
