Second Best

Its funny: I spent the longest time trying to get you to notice me and when you did I was so scared because I wanted you to like me so much but at the same time I didnt want you to know how much I liked you because I didnt want my heart broken and i didnt want that feeling of hope to go away. I loved getting nervous around you and gettin butterflies. When you hugged me I was sure you felt my heart almost jump out of my chest. I was sure you saw me stare at you whenever you\'d drive by. I thought I made myself so obvious and I was for sure you knew. You knew I guess you just didnt care. She was there to prove she was better than me which she did so well. She didnt have much on the line. But she must of had something I didnt. I guess she was just what you were lookin for. A week of fun and then you let each other go. I couldnt believe it, in that week I lost everything, all my butterflies, all my hope, my heart doesnt jump when I see you anymore because I know you chose her over me, and even if i ever have hope again that will run through my mind, you chose her over me and i\'m just second best.
