A Fragile Heart

by ShatteredAngel   Mar 15, 2006

A Fragile Heart

A wilted rose lay on her bed
The memories slowly faded
The pretty girl with the fragile heart
Lay in the corner jaded

Her porcelain skin so innocent and young
Now covered in tainted lies
The telltale signs of a lost little girl
Lay buried within her cold eyes

Her icy stare bore down on the room
As she carved her skin with the blade
Her breathing became heavy and deep
And everything began to fade

The crimson river gushed down her arm
Her tears began to fall
She had no reason to continue
Because he had taken it all

The photographs on the shelf still stood
Happier times now torn apart
The pretty girl was taken too soon
All because of a fragile heart
