Hazel Eyes

When you look at me all you see are hazel eyes,
Hazel eyes that try not to show emotion,
They tell a different story than my smile,
But most people dont look for the story my eyes tell,
For the pain that lies behind them,
They see the smile and "know" Im happy,
But smiles lie,
And no one looks close enough to see that my smiles a lie,
My smile is my disguise,
A disguise that no one can see past,
One that is permanently displayed across my face,
And at times can see so real even to me,
But deep down inside,
I know that the only real me is what lies behind my hazel eyes.
