The memories that I will cherish,
Of the times we spent together,
The good the bad and all in Between,
The happiness I know ill remember forever.
The adventures which we shared,
Always side by side,
Still causing me to smile,
Wishing I could relive the ride.
The trouble which we caused,
Still remembered by all,
The stories spread so thin,
And the lies stretched so tall.
The fights which we suffered,
Most of which I caused,
Mistakes always forgiven,
Carrying ahead without pause.
The cheek which we gave,
Only very occasionally returned,
The reputation we gained,
That I believe to be well earned.
The end of an era,
Which appeared to riddle us both?
Did once seem short lived,
As we were bound by the strings of hope.
Again our paths have split,
And as we wind along our separate roads,
Just know we have the memories,
And u have me to ease your load.
As a kid I once said life is a battle,
Probably wiser than I am today,
I still believe this true,
Which is why Ill always say:-
It is not the decisions you make,
Or even the turns,
What really defines people,
Is who you have near you and the friendships which you yearn.
The lessons which we learnt,
No matter how hard or harsh,
I will never forget,
But it is you who Ill forget last.
You to me have always been priceless,
And like your phone number,
Have etched your place in my heart,
This is what I treasure and from which I will never part.
