Swampy Nightmare

by Kylead   Mar 16, 2006

Swampy Water beneath my feet squishing between my toes
The water almost seems alive constantly moving.
Step by step as the fog rolls in you can not see your feet
All you can feel is the slimy substances between you toes
Feeling eerie now and frustrated
You look all around and see no end to this swamp your in
And trip and fall and get all wet and sticky
At first you shake it off and start walking from a crawl
Now other problems arrive as your walking you can feel
The grim in-between your teeth
You rub your eyes and they start to burn from the sulfur in the water
Your clothes are soaking wet and dripping
To make things worst behind your back the sun begins to fall
Now you pick up the pace trying not freeze you run as fast as you can and try to escape the swampy land.
Stumbling and running looking left and right and straight ahead you see no end
Finally you stop and look up and cry and prey in despair
Help me god your son is lost
After a while you wipe your tears and get up and start running
The swampy water has dried on your face you stop
Rub of the crust dirt
Now finally the sun has fallen
You slow your pace to keep footing
Keeping the same pace walking through the night
At day break you start to cry
But this time it is because you are happy
You are finally out of the swamp and on land
