To me it doesn't seem fair,
To put a limit on the times we share,
We shared the same laughter, but now not the same tears,
The truth hurts to much for me to believe my ears,
Who's to know what might have been,
We'll leave behind a life, and time I'll never know again,
I'll remember how your laughed and how you smiled,
And that spirit inside you which was so joyous and wild,
Even though you made it home,
I still miss you in my heart,
Even though your your smiling down on me,
I still need you in my heart,

But oh how i wish i could just see your face,
It's hard for me to know when I'm going to see you again,
And I'd bring you back if it wasn't for God's plan,
But until our paths cross again,
